Conscious Touch & Conscious Movement with Horses: Discovering the Common Body

Paula Josa-Jones MA, CMA, RSMET, SEP,TTEAM is a dance artist, equestrian, author, movement educator and therapist. She has taught in the dance programs at Tufts University, Boston University and at universities, colleges and dance festivals nationally and internationally. She is a Certified Laban Movement Analyst (CMA) and a Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist (RSMET) accredited by the ISMETA. She is a Guild-Certified TTEAM (Tellington Touch Equine Awareness Method) practitioner and Somatic Experiencing ® practitioner. She is the founder of Embodied Equine Experiencing, which uses conscious touch and conscious movement in partnership with horses. This work is for:

  • Those who want to experience a more profound sense of connection and communication with their horses.
  • Those seeking a more authentic, conscious and compassionate relationship with their bodies.
  • Individuals suffering from injury, physical or emotional trauma, or recovering from addiction.

Her writings on movement and dance have been published in Contact Quarterly, and her book, Our Horses, Ourselves: Discovering the Common Body, was published in 2017 by Trafalgar Square Books.
